WHO
I am a brand and marketing designer with experience in everything from package design to photo manipulation. I revel in the details and prefer creative subtleties over flashy designs. I also have an affinity for guerilla marketing and clever design, where the design is as functional as it is eye-catching. I am a thinker who enjoys problem-solving and finding new solutions.
BACKGROUND
I have a mixture of experience, including collaborating with others and creating independent work. Much of my experience comes from designing 2-D layered graphics to be sent to the plotter cutter and assembled by hand. This work was a combination of engineering and design, where the design relied heavily on function. I strive and enjoy this type of problem-solving and thinking. I have put in hours upon hours in Photoshop, building my photo manipulation skills for music artists and private label sellers on Amazon. This type of work has allowed me to push myself with photorealism and grow my communication and collaboration skills. I also have experience in video and photography for clients, but primarily as hobbies. There is so much that overlaps between design, photography, and cinematography, and each has made me better at the others. I started with graphic design and picked up photography to build my graphic design, which grew from there.
GOALS
My immediate goal is to continue to gain experience and improve my portfolio. I am working to create a portfolio full of work I am proud of that consists of a clear style and more branding. Once my portfolio accurately represents me and the work I want to do, I will pursue freelance work while building lifelong partnerships to start a design firm utilizing my skills and knowledge to service emerging brands. The firm will focus on branding at launch and grow to media and marketing.
With each project, I aim to reinvent the wheel. I understand nothing is original anymore, but I still try to find a way to make every project original and stand out while solving the problem at hand. The goal is to collaborate with you to create something new, expressive, and something we both can be proud of.
