Accessible, brand-consistent website design
TOOLS
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Adobe XD
- Visual Studio Code
SKILLS
- Layout Design and Hierarchy
- Web Accessibility
- Prototyping
- HTML Coding
- Grid-Based Design
- Browser Testing
PROCESS
I began by researching and creating mockups in Adobe XD, followed by refining the designs through revisions. After finalizing the layout, I coded the site using Visual Studio Code. To ensure brand consistency, I developed a brand style guide as a reference throughout the project. I applied a grid-based approach to establish a clear and organized layout and incorporated accessibility features, such as intuitive design, appropriate color choices, and alt text for images.
REFLECTION
This project introduced me to web accessibility and emphasized the importance of testing across major browsers. Despite limited experience with Adobe XD and Visual Studio Code, I successfully created a cohesive design that maintained brand consistency. One of the biggest challenges was achieving the intended layout, but overcoming it taught me valuable problem-solving skills. While web design is not the primary focus of my portfolio, I’m proud of the strong foundation this project provided.
